A Brief History of the Association

The history of the Hungarian Electrotechnical Association is closely related to the formation and development of electrotechnics and the electricity industry in Hungary. Participants of founding the organization and managing the work of the association included prominent persons such as Ottó Titusz Bláthy, Miksa Déri, Kálmán Kandó, József Liska, Á. Géza Pattantyús, Károly Zipernowsky, László Verebély, Sándor Straub. Following its foundation, the association quickly became the largest national level professional electrotechnical organization in Hungary.
